Overview of Ambassa PACS
Ambassa PACS — also called PACS Ambassa or Pacs Ambassa — is the official Primary Agricultural Credit Society in Ambassa, Dhalai, Tripura, India. People searching for a Primary Agricultural Credit Society in Ambassa, a Primary Agricultural Credit Society in Tripura, or a Primary Agricultural Credit Society in India at the village level will find this Society at Ambassa Bazar.
Across India, PACS are the village-level foundation of the short-term cooperative credit system. They work directly with agricultural borrowers, support rural livelihoods and form the last-mile link between farming households and the wider cooperative structure. Ambassa PACS has performed this role in Tripura since it was registered on 26 March 1979. It is managed locally in the Ambassa subdivision under the Dhalai district cooperative framework.
Our role
Following the purpose of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies across the country, Ambassa PACS exists to bring farmer communities closer to credit, markets and essential services. The Society’s confirmed work includes:
- Providing agricultural credit to farmers and rural households
- Linking farmers to local markets
- Operating community services, including a Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendra
